Forster Civic Master Plan

The Forster Civic Precinct Master Plan presents a vision for the return of major civic functions to the town centre. The project investigated the distribution of community facilities across the region and recommended a mix to bring the community back to their town.

The plan proposed a town square as the setting for a possible new library, flexible-use hall and gallery with restaurants and cafes that connected to the remarkable natural setting. This created a more environmentally sustainable urban form, a revitalised town centre and rejuvenated the town’s image.

This document supported the future development of a funding strategy and formed part of the detailed design brief for an architectural design competition.
